Hexagon DIY floor pouffe

This is my version of the the hexagon DIY floor pouffe from Gina over at The Shabby Creek Cottage.

I found the original instructions for calculating the pattern piece very confusing. Below is a photo of the pattern piece I came out with, with approximate measurements in inches below. Perhaps they can help someone else.

The fabric is a lovely upholstery weight thick velvet cord in teal, which came from Fabric Outlet in Newbridge.

Once I figured out the pattern piece it really was a very straight forward make. Once the fabric was cut the whole thing went together in about an hour.

It’s been about 6 months since I made this and it’s still going strong, though I probably need to add some more foam beads.
