Rainbow Connection – #PictureThisUL research photo finalist

The University of Limerick does a photo competition every year to encourage researchers to come up with visual ways to represent their research. I figured I’d give it a go and submitted a photo of the neurodiversity symbol made up from toys and technical components. Well, I am absolutely thrilled to share that my photo made it to the #PictureThisUL finals! 🌟 My pic will be proudly displayed on campus at UL from Monday, April 22nd to Friday, May 3rd as part of UL Research Week 2024.

The photo itself is of the rainbow infinity symbol, which represents neurodiversity, which encompasses people with conditions or differences such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. My research explores how physical items like toys might be augmented with technology for young autistic children.
