This was a holiday commission for a steampunk owl mosaic.
This first photo is of the early design stage. Here I was deciding the general shape and tile layout.
Below the MDF backing has been cut to shape, the tiles have been glued and the grout has just been applied. The steampunk elements are much shallower than the tiles so these will need to be added on top of the grout after it has set.
